So long ...

Dear Reader,

I'm taking a break from this blog. It seems I've blogged myself to a standstill. I'll take it up again when I feel I might have something to offer. Thanks for your past support through comments and emails. I'll leave the blog up in case you find it useful. Peace.

Dear Father,

I have been so very, very grateful for your blog - - your homilies have been a gift across the ocean to a small college campus in the US!!! The ability to excerpt portions from them in our weekly student bulletin (duly credited of course!) has been a true blessing to the students and others from the surrounding community who come to our Sunday evening Mass. More than one person has asked who "Fr. Speekman is so I can thank him!" Your parish is blessed by your service to them.

with a grateful heart,

Thanks Father, for sharing your homilies for so long, and thanks for leaving the website up. There are so many homilies that I knew at the time I should read again and again and meditate on (but often didn't) so it's good to know they're all still there to go back to. We who will miss your regular homilies can start over with the previous 3 year cycle :) Truth is always current.
